Fall Colors: Falling for Orange

Orange. It’s definitely one of my favorite colors. It’s just such a cool shade for the home. When I walk into a home and it’s orange, in my mind I’m like, “Yeeeah, Lady’s got confidence.”  Even if they don’t, I’m definitely thinking they got it. And style.  Even just a touch of orange is very chic. I’m pretty much loving every piece of orange in these rooms. Especially the one with the blue velvet sofa. SUPERB!

~Feng Shui Pearls~
In Feng Shui, orange is known for being a color to promote sociable encounters. It enhances conversations and fun times in your space. (Probably why I think Lady has confidence! She talks more!) J

Are you an orange type of person?

Even Rumpelstiltskin Would Be Pleased With This Gold Décor

Gold. It is simply a magnificent, glamorous and elegant hue for your home! I love gold in the home. Plus it’s a marvelous color with my skin. :-) The kings and queens were on to it long ago. Course, then things were dipped in gold, if not solid, but now you can get gold paint and make you space look dashing. If you want to add a little glamor and fun to your home, gold will most definitely get you there. As much as I love a fun home, you don’t have to go overboard and paint your walls gold. Believe it or not, I am a firm believer that simple is sexy. A touch of gold is sometimes all a room needs. Something to ponder. :-)

Designer Appreciation Day: Kelly Wearstler

Kelly Wearstler. She is all over the internet. And if you haven’t seen her all over the place, you are not poking around on very many sites. I most definitely see why she is all over the place and why everyone is infatuated. Her colors. Her playfulness. Her vibrancy. Muah. Magnificent. As playful as she is, it is obvious how serious she takes her designs. I see no flaws. Not to mention, she designs her own clothes, shoes, furniture pieces, knobs, everything. Her rooms could not be more Wearstler. Have you seen a more glamorous floor than the one in the last picture? I wonder if she designed it. If you want more Kelly Wearstler eye candy, visit her blog at My Vibe Life.

Designer Appreciation Day: Nate Berkus

Designer Appreciation Day is a time where I would like to highlight my favorite designers. The very first designer that I would like to honor and appreciate is Nate Berkus. Aside from his good looks, and fancy smile, the man is gifted. You can see in his work that he is clearly creative and passionate in his designs.  He believes that everyone should love the way they live and that the home is a reflection of who you are, no matter how much money you have. Aw, he has a warm heart. Something we both have in common! :)  That is what I appreciate most about his ideas. No matter what your level of wealth is, or the size of your place, you can create and decorate your own dreamy spaces. Granted, sometimes you need a little extra creativity, such as my case, but it is important to create a place you love to live. Enjoy!

Love, love, love his work! But I'm not diggin the zebra rug. The mane and shape are a little too real looking for my overactive imagination and animal lovin heart. I love a good animal print, but I'm not a fan of the stuffed heads and stripped scalps. Everything else about the room is stunning!

What do you think about these rooms? What do you think of the zebra rug?

Irresistible Vintage Style Bathrooms

I have to say, I love a vintage looking bathroom. Don’t know what it is, but I’ve had this love affair ever since my memory kicked in. And if I had tubs like those, I would be taking a bubble bath everyday. My darling will most definitely have to expect a vintage style bathroom when we invest in our own home.

Hot Pink Decorating Never Looked So Good!

First off, just want to say good-bye Labor Day. Guess that’s a sign that summer is pretty much over. I decided to do a hot pink decorating post to honor the closing of our summer months. Is it just me, or do these rooms look yummy? I want to be in them! Maybe I can convince my boyfriend to let me paint our bathroom pink. Take it all in! :-)
